The questions always come first in data analysis. It doesn’t matter how much data you have, how many tools you have available, whether data are historical or real time, whether you analyse in batch or stream, whether data show perfect patterns or correlations or features. All this matters nothing if you don’t have the questions you are trying to solve. All the data in the world do not make up for the lack of the right questions. And even worse, with the wrong questions, you get the wrong answers, and take the wrong decisions.
